New York Jews
There's plastic over the painting, so it's hard to capture an image without a bit of glare...
I painted this in high school, when Mrs. Williams had us do a project in ink to focus on reflection on shiny objects (metal, glass). I didn't want to paint a picture of the sink, so I found this image from a National Geographic.

Paige.
Delilah
I painted this summer of either '07 or '08. Listening to this song, I found the name for the painting (look closely at her hands for the clue). I was trying to color theme it (I usually tend toward lots of bright colors, perhaps, as my friend Paige suggested, a result of being slightly colorblind), and the background was meant to be a bit after Klimt. The picture I based her on is of my friend Charlotte.
I remember after truly listening to the song, that I went back and re-read the Samson story, to see if there were any room between the lines for Delilah to have been a misguided and foolish but otherwise sweet lover. There wasn't.

Necklace (for Christine)
Eva Sun Goes Slow
("North American Indian Portraits", Thomas W. Kavanagh, pp 77)
This is the song that, as far as I can remember, has played a large role in my thought process over the years regarding the way our lives regard the past and present.
